One of the key requisites for our development road map is that everything should add value, not expense. Our upgrades shouldn't increase our pricing unless it actually improves the service.
Over the last 12 months, we've been working to migrate all of our hosted clients to our service that, whilst slightly more expensive than its predecessor, added speed, additional functionality and better security. It has also allowed us to bring our standard SSL certificate pricing down from £60/year to £0/year. Over the next few months, we're expanding this newer service even further to allow additional applications to be installed for our clients to utilise including cloud storage and CRM options. We will also soon be able to provide cPanel access to anyone who requires it.
Another great step that we have been able to make is to bring down our domain renewal prices dramatically and this new pricing structure is being rolled out from the beginning of April 2020 and in most cases, the pricing for our clients will be down by as much as 50%.
I'm also pleased to say that our new hosting service is maintained in a 100% Green Energy data centre too.
We've now completed the next step in our development roadmap which was to upgrade several of our internal processes and expand our array of tools and options that we can offer our clients. We are now able to accept direct debit payments for hosting and domain renewals as well as our management services. The Direct Debiting solution has opened up a more manageable way for us to collect payments for yearly services on a monthly basis and we are now rolling out a pay monthly option for certain project types too. We have begun initial testing of pay-monthly services to iron things out and we'll begin a full rollout of this service very soon.
Next up on our development roadmap is perfecting our customer services procedures and further developing new and existing products and services. I'll be writing more updates about these phases soon. In the meantime, I hope everyone is safe and well and I'm looking forward to moving forward soon.
